Did you know that you can pair chocolate with wine? Yep, you can. Wine4Me had some really good pointers about which varietals pair with different kinds of chocolate. In general, you want your wine to be a tad sweeter than your chocolate and dark chocolate pairs better with bolder wines. Here are a few suggestions:
- Milk chocolate goes well with sweet Riesling or dessert wines
- Dark chocolate pairs very nicely with Merlot or Petit Syrah
- Dark semisweet chocolate and Merlot or Pinot Noir are great partners
- Dark bittersweet chocolate should be paired with a Cabernet Sauvignon or Zinfandel
Now you know what wine to pair with your chocolate – check out these great recipes from some awesome bloggers.
